August 17, 2006  Compositing Images 1 - Using selections and layers.     PSPX (PSP9)

Learn how to take parts of 5 images and composite onto one to print out at 5 X 7". This tutorial uses selections and layers in PSP X, but experienced users of PSP 9 should be able to complete the project. Some PSP 9 commands given in parantheses.  Use your own images or practice with ours.

Learn make a template image with vector shapes. Create selections from each shape and save to alpha channel to use as masks in part two. This tutorial uses vector shapes, and selections and alpha channels in PSP X.  PSP 9 commands given in parantheses.  Use your own images or practice with ours.

August 31, 2006  Compositing Images 2b - Using Masks Part 2 of 3     PSPX (PSP9)

Using the template created in Part 2a, create a composite of six images. Drag and drop images onto the template image. Load selections from alpha channel, add a new mask layer using show all, manipulate the underlying image layer. Add Text. Use your own images or practice with ours.

September 14 , 2006  Compositing Images 2c - Using Masks Part 3 of 3     PSPX (PSP9)

Using the composite file created in Part 2b, tweak the mask layers by adding Blur Effect, explore adjusting mask layer with pick tool and moving layer groups using mover tool.  Tutorial 2a and b must be completed before doing this exercise in PSP.

Use the Blemish variant of the Makeover Tool on PSPX to clean up the skin on a model in a portrait image. Use the soften brush to tweak the results.

Use the suntan variant of the Makeover Tool on PSPX to give a model a suntan. Use on a duplicate layer then use layer transparency to adjust the degree of the suntan.
